Brigjend Katamso Street serves as the main access to Argosari market, experiences a high intensity of on-street parking in the commercial area between the Jalan Gereja and Jalan Ringinsari intersections. This study aims to analyze the parking volume and accumulation, as well as their impact on road performance.
The research method employed field surveys to obtain primary data, including road geometry, traffic volume, side friction frequency, travel time, and the number of parked vehicles. The analysis was carried out based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (PKJI 2023).
The results show that the parking volume and accumulation are relatively high, accompanied by a side friction frequency of 1,289 events and a road capacity of 1,197 pcu/hour. The degree of saturation reached 0,75 with the lowest average space mean speed recorded at 27.92 km/hour, indicating that traffic conditions are approaching a saturated flow. These findings demonstrate that on-street parking contributes to decreased road performance, highlighting the need for improved parking management in the area.
